We're on bikes all the time, no car. And I wrecked my bike (first time, but twice in the same day) We were on our way home for dinner. I got this giant! I flipped, I just wanted to get off the ground. Saw this huge gravel pit, I take off, I'm flying, I go right off the top, my wheel gets stuck, I completely flip over, bike in the air, I slide down the hill. It didn't hurt at all. It was kind of funny! But too bad since I was in my whites and best (I guess that means his shirt/tie & stuff)
We got a ton of rain last Monday, and we went mountain biking on our P-day. Iit took us like an hour and a half to get up there where we were going: we had to ride up wet gravel, It was so soft gravel, you can turn the handlebars and not go anywhere. My companion hit a rock too, so I had to realign his back wheel. We were at this park with a tons of trails. It's super fun, a ton of jumps. We're riding around and there's this big, big puddle. Do you know how long it's been since I played in mud? Man, I had a blast. I felt like I was back in Texas. We were riding all around, throwing mud at each other, we just got so dirty. We got back in the car, sat on plastic bags and stopped at Walmart for a drink. We were just powdered, coated in mud. And someone saw us at Walmart and asked if that was us playing in the mud (which was weird because that was clear across town). So many people stopped to talk to us at Walmart. Wish it was as easy to talk to people in our clean clothes!
Missionary work wise: it's still been pretty tough. We've been trying to talk to as many people as possible. We've been meeting with Craig still, so keep praying for him. Also, we were going through the apartment and we found a book with previous investigator names, it seems there have been a lot of people that have just slipped through the cracks! We contacted them, and three of them said that we can come meet with them, so I'm excited about that. Sooner or later this ward is going to turn over, and I'm doing everything I can to make it so!
That's been my week. It's been fun, it's been hard, we've been biking everywhere because the previous missionaries burned through too many miles. My legs feel like jelly! We cover 2 wards, we bike 45 minutes from one ward to the other in a suit. I end up taking my backpack and folding my suit jacket like dad taught me and carrying it from ward to ward.
Also we've just been working hard. I'm doing the best I can do as a missionary, and sooner or later I'll see the fruits of my labor. So if you can just keep Craig in your prayers and maybe pray that we'll find new people to teach. That's all. Thank you all, love you all.
