This week has been kind of interesting. Elder Taylor is going home tomorrow, so he sent his bike home like two weeks ago, so for the last two weeks we’ve been walking. I did some math. A minimum route in our area is 8.7 miles, but our average is 11, so if you take our average and multiply it by how many days we’ve been on foot, we’ll walk about 160 miles. I did a lot of walking in my first area. All in all, I figure I’ve walked nearly as much as some pioneers (not quite, but almost).
It’s been a crazy week. We’ve been working hard, we’ve had a few lessons. I’ve had a few lectures shoved down my throat from some antagonists that we met, find where it’s wrong, strengthen my faith, and continue forward. I’m getting an Elder Flores, I served with him in Pahrump. He’s from Mexico. There’s another Flores in our mission from Guatemala, so I’m getting Mexican Flores! He’s into cars, I know, kind of just figure him out. I know I served with him a little bit in Pahrump. He’s a skinny guy. So, I won’t be getting transferred anywhere, so feel free to send my Christmas here now!
But I don’t want anything big for Christmas. I just don’t need anything right now. I’m happy with all that I have currently. As a missionary, with all our moving, I just don’t want any extra stuff.
Our less actives didn’t come to church this Sunday. Our investigators just had their baby, so she’ll be getting married soon (a little backwards) and will be preparing for baptism. Yeah, it just seems like people to teach are just falling out of the sky finally. That’s what we needed. So I’m happy.
