So I am getting transferred. Oh, and so is my companion. In total there are three sets of missionaries out here in Pahrump, NV, and they are taking all six of us. It's probably better that I'm going to Vegas, it'll be busier there will be more work, and I will be closer to doctors, if I need it. I met my companion two days before we got transfer calls. His companion and I were being trained on how to use the sound equipment for the quarterly musical firesides we have here. We will be the ones to operate the equipment in the future, the missionaries that did it before are going home, so we will be the ones that replace them. We learned how to set up all the sound equipment, we learned how to use the whole dial pad, and it will be our responsibility beginning with this next one. So I figure I will be involved with all of the firesides, either singing or behind the scenes. What's really cool is an investigator donated all the equipment, just goes to show how important these are. It really is a great opportunity for investigators to feel the spirit.
So after the training, we went to dinner at CiCi's Pizza, and his companion was so funny. We were laughing so hard we were in tears most of the evening. Which i really needed, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. And now he's gonna be my new companion! I think this'll take off a lot of the mental burden I've been under. But I'm really going to miss Pahrump. There's not much work out here (that's the bad thing), but all the members are super nice and supportive. I like a small town, but maybe this is a bit too small and flat with no rain! But the people out here are awesome, and I will truly miss them. Oh and the apartment in which we live is one of the best in the mission. We have a living room downstairs and a kitchen upstairs with a big room we use for a study room, a bedroom and bathroom. Check out the video tour. Yes sir E, we were really spoiled here. This is like eight times bigger than my last apartment. And the members that we live with are super nice. They saw that we study on the porch sometimes, so then they brought us a little table for us to use, they were just always giving us more stuff, they were awesome!
The other night , we all new we were leaving soon, so we decided we would drive out to the desert to the dried out lake bed nearby. And I think we were all a bit wound tight, so it was so nice. Nowhere near any city lights. We just laid there watching the stars. We saw shooting stars, and every star is just so bright, it almost looks like clouds of stars or smokey. It's just nuts! It was fun to talk for a little while, there are so many things I will miss about Pahrump.
Love you,
P.S. I got the package from you this week.
Thank you so much. I was almost out of protein powder. The Band-Aid are pretty cool and well needed. As you know the instant oatmeal is already gone mmmmmmmmmm. Socks are good, mine were wearing out and there is enough to match my clothes. Everything else is awesome. Thank you guys.
Oh, and I saw all the notes from your primary class. Tell them thanks.
