We came, we saw, we conquered!
Our Itinerary was something like this:
21/2 weeks in Utah to visit family, friends, and attend EFY and soccer camp
2 weeks in our old hometown of Allen, Texas to visit missed friends, all of us to visit the dentist, and to have AJ's wisdom teeth removed.
a few days in San Antonio, TX to visit family
a few days in Oklahoma to hang out with great friends
and several days on the road to get to and from all those wonderful places!

A couple quick stops....could hardly wait to go to In-N-Out Burger and of all places, the large, beautiful, bright, clean,...TARGET!
Disclaimer: I was not a very good journalist this summer. Some days I took 30 pictures, and other days I couldn't be bothered to take a single one! So I'm afraid my visual summary of our USA experience will be a bit skewed. We had some great times with people we adore and we don't have a single picture as proof. But the thing is, sometimes it's just nice to enjoy the moment and not bother to fetch the camera or pull the phone out. So the following is going to be a whole lot of chaos, feel free to check out the pictures I do have!
Fun at Grandma's house
Herriman Lake w/ the Utah Cousins
Happy birthday to me!
Got to spend a couple of days with my very best friend, Jocelyn Bills
BYU Soccer Camp
A little post 4th of July fireworks
Actually they were pre-Pioneer day, but since I missed out on the 4th,
I sort of just considered it a private spectacle!!!
BYU Tour=Free T-shirt!!!! Janae & cousin Hannah took the tour
Temple Square: Music and the Spoken Word
Park City & the Alpine Slide w/ my sister and kids
Come with us on our road trip!
Just a bit out of order, but man, what beautiful country
So before we saddled up for our long haul to Texas, we saw and did many more things. Things I just didn't have pictures to share here. The problem is, sometimes we fail to get the camera out when we're having the most fun. The grandparents came down from Idaho and we had a fantastic weekend with them. But we were swimming and having fun, and I just didn't get the camera out. But I'm so thankful for the efforts to come down and see us. We had other great times with our cousins in Utah where we were to lazy to photo. So with that disclaimer, let me just say the Utah visit was fantastic. But everything must come to an end, so we said our goodbye's and began our trek.
However these photos are taken out the window ALL OVER our journey, not just Utah to Texas, you'll see Oklahoma and Colorado in these photos as well. I looked out the window, and this is what I saw...

Finally in TEXAS!!!!!
Jason flew in for a few days. We spent time visiting old friends. Thanks to the Johnson's for letting us hang out and visit and the Trythall's for dinner and FHE. It was so fun to visit with our friends. But Jason only stayed a short time and then was off with Emily to Chicago. Maybe I'll add some pictures of that a bit later, not sure I have them yet.
After seeing Dad, we headed down to San Antonio to see our family there. We had a great time swimming at our Aunt Michelle and Uncle Jeff's house. Jeff worked on teaching Jaxon how to swim. He had Jaxon hold onto their pet lab's tail in the water as the dog pulled Jaxon all over, it was like swimming with dolphin's!
We also went on to the military base in San Antonio with my sister, Darcy. Jaxon got an army haircut and we enjoyed bowling!
After our visit in San Antonio we were back up to Dallas where we had a bit of fun with some old friends. One particular evening, we hung out poolside at Britt and Lori Berrett's with the Murphy family. And in perfect Texas fashion, as if swimming and pizza was not enough, Britt pulls out this huge tub of fireworks! I didn't even know they were legal in Fairview/!>?~ Well, they were this night. A bit nerve wracking as I watch my kids jumping over fire into the pool. Who comes up with this stuff???

We were so excited to visit with our dear Melanie.
This is the queen babysitter to my kiddos for years and years. This is my daughter's favorite! They both want to be just like her when they grown up! It's been so great having such an amazing role model for my girls.

The rest of our Texas photos!
Again, so much we didn't take pictures of, like FHE and swimming with my sister, Tami and her family, and not many pictures of our little visits with friends, but there are a few random shots in here of various activities, including AJ getting his wisdom teeth removed! There was quite a bit of housekeeping type stuff to do while we were "back home!" I think there's even a shot of my steak, oh it was so good, from a night out with my friend, Maria. Check these out, almost done.... I HOPE!
Last stop? Oklahoma
It was such fun to stay with our good friends, the Berrett's for a couple of days. It was relaxing and so great to be with people that just know you. Check out some of our adventures there in Oklahoma.
And we're back in Utah, and then OFF TO LONDON!!!!
Just in time to have a fun treat with our cousins and pack up all our bags and head home. It was a fantastic trip. It was such a blessing to be with people we know and love, and just plain have fun. The trip was perfect. And it was sufficiently long enough for everyone to be ready to come home, wherever "HOME" is!
