Weird, isn't it. It's all about football here. But we can't seem to find a viable option for Emily as of late. We have searched and researched. We've tried out several teams. And right now we're going crazy. Our only option, at least until Spring, is to settle by having her play with a bunch of little league boys. There's a local boy's football league that we found. She played with them Saturday. They had 3 team captains chosen to form teams, Emily was one of the last kids picked. And when they picked her the other boys went "woo-ooh!" like you must like her! Well she played with them and you heard other comments. Comments like, "You just got outrun by a girl!" or "Did you see that corner kick?" or "Wow, she can run like a boy!" So funny. Needless to say, I don't think she'll be one of the last kids picked anymore.
We still have to figure out some way of keeping her skills up so she can be up to par to try out in March for the Elite Chelsea Training Club. But for now, all we got: playing football with the boys!
