We love them forever!
I'm not sure if we've adequately expressed how much we LOVE having visitors! And the Arnett's were totally great! We enjoyed every minute with Scott and his kids! Even though not all our kids match up in age, they all had so much fun and got along so well! It was a blast! We love them forever!

While living in England we have been part of the wonderful Selsdon Ward. One amazing thing this ward sponsored each year was a half marathon headed up by the wonderful David Eaton. In 2013, Jason ran the Selsdon Half as he prepared to run the Paris Marathon the following month with his sisters. In 2014, the week before the Selsdon Half, AJ said that he was going to run it. Take note, AJ's not a runner. It's not something he ever just does, but he's a strapping teenage boy! We figured he could do it but he'd be in some serious pain afterwards. Again, Jason was training for another marathon, and he was skeptical if AJ would do it, and if he'd finish it. Oh, there's one more thing you ought to know about the Selsdon Half Marathon: 2 words for you... HILLS! (I know that's one word, just cracks me up). So he did it! They did it! And here are the results: AJ Tucker 1:52.37 Jason Tucker 1:53.10 They ran in neck and neck, sprinting toward the finish line! A.J. was so excited. He had one goal apparently, and that was to beat his dad! And he did it! (By a nose). It was such a fun experience for them, I don't think either of them will ever forget it! It's a fantastic event for any of my local friends who want to try a nearby half marathon, check out the website at the bottom. http://www.selsdonhalfmarathon.verycool.co.uk Mother's Day in England is in March, not May! Jason was out of town, and I expected a pretty typical Sunday without Jason at home. But I woke up to a beautiful breakfast in bed made by Janae and Emily and had a pleasant day with all the kids. After dinner I told the kids, "I know what I want for Mother's Day!" I explained that I wanted us to walk down the road to Coombe Gardens and take some photos. As many photos as this family has taken over they years, one might get the idea that they enjoy it. But let me tell you....it's among the things they loathe in life!!!! So the fact that they agreed was such a wonderful gift this Mother's Day. And now I have these great photos forever! In the end, it was one of my very best Mother's day! They are my life. |
