Dallin sings! I am so excited to have a kid that really enjoys singing. I hope he sticks with it, he's experimented with some groups at school, and has realized that he's quite good. He down-plays it, like he doesn't like it, but you find him singing around the house all the time! I love that I have someone to watch The Sound of Music with. We stayed up last Sunday to watch it again, just he and I!
Dallin's first love is video games. I know, this isn't good. But what's brilliant about Dallin, is once it's taken away (after a bit of whining and complaining, bartering, and finally folding) Dallin is so creative. He enjoys playing and pretending. He enjoys playing with his Legos. Riding his bike. Not so much 'Building" with his Legos, but actually playing with them! He's the innovator of games with his little brother Jaxon. I find them in this room, or that room, outside, or even in the car battling each other with plastic swords, or creating superpowers, or hiding from enemies!
Everyone loves Dallin. It's true. His teacher's love him, his friends love him, his grandparents love him (I know grandparents love all their grandchildren). But there's just something about Dallin that people enjoy! He's quite charismatic, I think.
My concerns for this kid? Well of course they include video-game control, life is so much more than MineCraft! And because he hangs out so much with Janae, and because he seems so perceptive and socially aware, I worry that he will grow up too fast!
He tries hard and wants to choose the right and doesn't want to disappoint! He's such a good kid. I just hope it will stay that way a while (at least the kid-bit).
