The musical fireside was last night it went awesome. The assistants to the president said that it was the song he had been looking forward to the whole time. Most of the others were kind of louder more intense songs. I made it my goal to bring the spirit to the meeting. So many people came up to me afterwards. One of the sister missionaries said a little girl behind her was singing along. Gotta love the Children't songbook. Many people had heard the second song, "I'll walk with you" it's easier to sing in to a microphone at the baptism than in front of so many people last night.

Happy Father's Day. I am so grateful for my dad, all the time. His patience with me is so great, he would just sit and listen to me talk for hours. You could just really understand me and my struggles with dyslexia. We have been teaching a guy named Eric. I was able to get him excited about the gospel and his baptism is set for July 11th. Stake conference is this week, so I don't really know who's in this ward and who's not yet. This new area is a little dusty town called Pahrump. My area starts here and goes to California, but Death Valley is technically in another area. We can go there with a member driving us. I've been trying to use Siri to write to you, but it's difficult because there's always too much background noise, and she misunderstands me a lot and puts in words that I'm not saying, so I have to type a lot. I ran out of money, my last companion ate out all the time and we were always far from home at lunchtime. Ah well, I gotta a little more than a week left in this month, and I will have been out for a year in 10 days! (BTW I'm a bout to yell at Siri) My new companion and I have been doing a lot of serving lately. I enjoy working hard and I have been teaching more and better now that I have a companion that wants to work hard. I have been more bold with extending commitments and exercising faith. I have been working out hard too with my companion, Elder Mikels every morning. So apparently, Elder Mikels' family moved while he was out on his mission, and his family's home is just behind ours like a mile apart. Spiders! You've heard about the spiders in Iraq, right? Uncle George has seen a few, I saw one the other day on the wall. I sprayed it with a water gun and smashed it with a stick after attacking the end of the stick multiple times. Yes, I have been working hard on missionary work, and loving it! My trainer went home last Monday, i think. I'll attach a photo of Elder Marshall here. I'm being transferred today to Pahrump, NV. It's near the California border about an hour and a half west of Vegas. I've been taking the acid medicine, but it still hurts from time to time, and in the morning it's pretty bad. I didn't respond to the news of Gracie Berrett's call, she'll be a great missionary. I heard Jake Larimer got his call as well.
I'm almost done packing up, but I'm waiting on some laundry to be done. I have a quite a few pictures and videos to send to you. I got a Nevada flag now, which is harder than it looks to find, considering Walmart doesn't even have them. It's pretty cool. One thing I learned in Europe and traveling that is great is I've learned how to pack a bag well. The musical fireside is coming up, I will be singing two songs with the guitar, so pray for me there will be like 300+ people there. So pray for me. My crazy week started out last night about 12am when I went to the ER. They say they think I have a weak stomach lining and gave me a stage 3 ant-acid and some pain killers which are the only reason I could sleep. The stuff is working so far, but I'm still scared to eat. It's a sad thing to say, but it's true. I'm afraid of how I will feel after every meal. But wait, my week gets better, turns out we have fruit flies and that was a super fun problem to solve! Well, I haven't been bit by a dog yet. My companion got bit by a big parrot and he din't have as quick of a reaction as I would have! Ha ha ha. He's doing well (the parrot) :D Sadly, though, no great stories for this week. We've been at an investigator's helping him move out.
Oh, something kind of cool. Cutler Reynolds is the brother of the lead singer of Imagine Dragons. he's in the YSA ward, and a great return missionary. He's so involved and he says he will come and knock doors with us whenever we call. That's kind of cool. Transfers are on June 15th. It would be nice to send some pictures home, but I'll need an adapter for this new iPad. And look, 😜 we got emoji's haha I will be going to the doctor today, my eating problem has gotten much worse. The pain isn't going away as quickly as before, and it's been hindering my work lately. It's pretty bad. So, I'll tell you what it is when I find out. I'm glad Jaxon is ok with going to summer school. I would NOT be, he is awesome. Dallin made a goal in soccer?!!! Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo huuuuuu ooooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllll Good job Dallin, did he push them all down. I love that kid. A million times better then any video game. I wish I could have seen it. Tell Jane to keep dancing and when it comes to her missionary work I have found that love is the most effective form of encouragement. I found a Spanish app for us, it feels like a game, so I've been doing that in my spare time so Janae and I can speak secret stuff right in front of you. We could say right in front of you what we're getting you for Christmas and you would not know. Hahaha love you all ps feel free to right longer emals now I have all as I have all P-day to respond and all week to read them! But my missionary work is my first priority and I'll let you know if it's ever too long 😋 Sent from my iPad Elder Tuker |
