Tell Jaxon that I love him. Thanksgiving is not a proselyting day, so we are having a mission-wide Turkey Bowl. It should be fun, I just bought some cheap cleats from Ross.
I have some good photos to share

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm so thankful to be a missionary. I am thankful for the gospel in my life. I am also thankful for FOOD! I am thankful for my hands. (I'm sure he's thinking of all the things he can do with his hands that he enjoys, like building, fixing, creating, etc). And if God only gives us what we can handle, then when life gets tough, he mush have a lot of faith in us.

Sadly, we do not have many teaching lessons. Zachary Jenkins is set for baptism for the 19th. He has had some awesome experiences. I told you about when he prayed, right? Well last week, I felt inspired to say that the closer he gets to baptism, the harder Satan is going to try to stop him. But that the Lord will only give him what he can handle. The next lesson we were talking and his was so happy. And at the same time, he told us that he got laid off. We talked about how with his old job he didn't get Sunday's off, so that made it difficult for him to attend church, and how it could be a blessing in disguise. So now he's applying for jobs with Sundays off. Pray for him!
I got some new pictures to send home, but still not sd converter yet, I forgot to get a new one last week. I'll have them for you next week. I love you, Elder Tucker I lost my SD card, that was a sad day. I'm glad that I sent you all the pictures though, so that was not as bad of a loss. I will buy another one this week.
I have been starting to eat healthier and I'm enjoying it. My stomach handles food better when I eat healthier. And I've been able to learn and study a lot and think I can maybe even fix some of my stomach problems by eating healthier. Have you heard The Eyes are a Window to the Soul. The Soul is spirit and body, different lines into the eyes are connected idea with things in the body and I printed it out and read it. Quite a bit of it is legit stuff and it is awesome, you would like it. O well, love you . My companion's ukulele got broken this week. Somebody sat on it and it broke into four pieces. It's a nice, well made concert ukulele, worth about $150. I was able to borrow some clamps and fix it for him. It works but there's a bit of a buzzing coming from the frets. I can fix that too, I think. He thought it was gone for good. He was angry, and sad, and quiet. I told him what happened to me on my 16th Birthday. How I got that GoPro, stuck it to my skimboard, and lost it in the ocean the very next day. I told him how we combed the beach looking for it, we prayed, but we never found it. And what I learned from the experience. He realized this was a challenge, and he wasn't facing it with the best attitude. He knows that challenges make us better. If I can borrow the tools I can fix it properly, and send you some pictures next week. I love you, I've been learning to play the ukulele, listen to this.Elder Tucker sings Love at Home
Mom, How’s school going for the kids? Things this week have been kind of slow. We missed the musical fireside because our lesson went long, which was actually a really good thing. The lady we are teaching thinks one of her children might be mildly autistic. That’s not a bad thing all the time, they can still be pretty normal and happy. I tried to share with her. Things are going well, the weather has been cooling off, even though it’s still hot. Unusually hot is what everyone says. We taught a few lessons this week. We passed Brenda off because she’s not in our area any more. Zack Jenkins is still progressing well. And is set with a date. His father-in-law has been less active, and their both coming along now. Things are going well here. A lot better than last week. We’ve just been busy! I was sick 2 days this week, and it has been a bit slow. We had splits for 2 days as well, that was great. I went to the Doctor, because allergy season is coming up, I needed a new inhaler. It was annoying going to the Dr. because it was all the cash I had to pay the $25 copay and the $10 copay for the inhaler. I’ve been learning hymns on the guitar and ukulele. The “Hymns Made Easy” are too easy, but the Hymn book is a bit too hard. I have been using the “Simplified Hymn Book” and it is fun. I have been borrowing it from another missionary. Please make a list and get it back to me soon of two favorite hymns of everyone in our family. I’d like to learn them and record them for Christmas. I’ve been working on our family song and I almost have it down. I’m still a bit slow, but that will probably be coming next week. Dad should be able to put my music on iTunes, I’m thinking about making a disc and sending it to you as an early Christmas present. But I need the list! Name: Song, Song Name: Song, Song I want the whole family in on it, ok?! So Halloween was awesome. We got a couple of movies approved. We watched Toy Story3, 1,2,3 in that order. It was awesome. My companion is a huge fan of Toy Story, like his bed is even Toy Story. And when they announced what movies got approved I was in shock! He went ghost white and was super quiet, it was such a good night. You asked what my favorite scripture was for one of those Missionary Plaques. You could tell them Ether 1:7, but you should just tell them Mosiah 2:41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it. I hope things are well at home. Catch you later. Janae made this little video for AJs media pages. It's cute, and super short. |
