So this week has been pretty good. Things are finally starting to turn around in the Taylor Ranch Ward. We got 3 less actives to go to church last Sunday. And we would have had 4, the only reason they weren’t at church is because she was having a baby. This couple we are teaching are already set with a baptismal date. They were just waiting for the baby to be born. They are not married. And they were putting off getting married until the baby came because her medical insurance was better than his. But they are committed to being baptized and getting married. She says she doesn’t care about anything big, she’ll just have the bishop marry them once the baby comes. And then we’ll get her ready for baptism in a few weeks. They are amazing people! The dad is a less active member, and she is investigating.
We also had this guy in the ward call us up and tell us about a family that wanted to take the lessons. I set up the appointment, and we went over. Basically their father is less active, the mother has heard some things about the church. He wants to return to activity, and wants to have the Priesthood back in his life. His wife and her two daughters (the daughters are hers from another marriage and she doesn’t have full custody, so we will have to get permission from both sets of parents). They attend Canyon Ridge, which is a mega-church in the area, so that’ll be an interesting thing. But for now, they agreed to read and pray about what we taught, the next lesson is about the Book of Mormon, so that was really good, it went really well!
So that is a successful week! That’s the most success that I’v had since I’ve been in this area.
It's been a crazy cool week. Been really busy! Been working hard.
See y'all,
B-bye.
